Around the World in 80 Dates

Sorry, Dorothy--sometimes your heart's desire isn't in your own backyard. Head of PR and spokesperson for Lonely Planet travel guides, Jennifer Cox has explored the most remote regions, toured the most exotic terrains, and bonded with people the world over. So how come find

From Los Angeles to Sweden to New Zealand...
I love reading books about traveling and dating - especially when based on a true story. I knew this book fit into both categories and was based on the author's non-fictional account of how she found her true love.

"Around the World in 80 Dates" starts off in the UK where Jennifer is fresh from her latest heartbreak, and takes the reader from beginning to end. You will learn how she conceived of her "Around the World in 80 Dates" idea; You will be taken vicariously through each of her sometimes odd but often interesting dates; You'll see how she ends up meeting "the one"; and much more.

There were definitely some dates that stood out in the book: the handsome, overly confident Frank in Holland; William from Sweden who ended up expecting something from the date that Jennifer wasn't prepared to give him; the good-looking and enigmatic Olivier from France who didn't give Jennifer something she wanted; Davide, who was already happily devoted to a dead woman; Garry...

Loved it!
Within days of getting and reading this book, I got asked on a date by one dad and had my first smooches with another. Thank you Rachel! I think through reading it, I actually just started remembering and projecting the confident sexy woman I had forgotten. I recommend this read for all single moms needing to remember the woman within and looking for love and/ or a little loving. :)

Lucky In Love, Lucky In Life: How To Be Wanted-Use the Law of Attraction to Date the Man You Most Desire and Live the Life You Deserve

It's raining men and you're about to get soaked! In dating it's all about being wanted. But you can't always get what you want, right? Well, the Law of Attraction begs to differ. Haven't you always wanted to be "that girl"? You know the girl I'm talking about. She's pretty

A seriously good dating/life guide.
Lucky in Love... was, for me, a really good read. The author really goes into detail about how to incorporate the law of attraction into your dating life, as well as into other aspects of your life. I don't think I've seen it described quite so well. Additionally, she goes into reasons why we aren't so "lucky in love" and what we can do about it. I liked the chapters on getting real and not being desperate. But the real gem here is how to actually attract guys into your life. The technique works wonders! For that, this one stays on my nightstand indefinitely.

The Soulmate Secret: Manifest the Love of Your Life with the Law of Attraction

Arielle Ford, the woman who helped launch the careers of Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsch, and Jack Canfield, shows readers how to take control of their romantic destiny in The Soulmate Secret. In this white magic counterpart to Neil Strauss’s Rules of the Game, Ford tea

"A balanced approach to finding your soulmate"
After reading Arielle Fords' book, The Soulmate Secret, I found myself reflecting for quite some time on what I'd read. Many of the principles and excercises that she advocates were new for me, and some even challenged my beliefs as I'm a conservatively trained psychologist. Yet, the more I considered her approach, the more I agreed with so many concepts. The fact that one must first love themselves and be comfortable alone resonated to what I tell my clients every day. I especially appreciated the call for action that change requires. 'Luck' doesn't just happen; it happens to the prepared mind...and soul. To paraphrase Arielle: 'you have to help the universe along.' The excercises were easy to follow and provide just the right mix between deep relaxation and consciousness-altering suggestions. The book is well written and flows nicely. Arielle's own writing is interspersed with first person stories that effectively illustrate the point she's making. Reading between the lines, the...

Single Effort: How to Live Smarter, Date Better, and Be Awesomely Happy

The New Bachelorhood
I wish more of what Keller writes in this book qualified as common sense. We'd all like to live in a clean house that celebrates our interests while looking inviting to women. We all think men know how to meet and court women. Yet common sense and experience reveal that bachelor living skills, which look so obvious in romantic comedies, are very rare on the ground. Keller helps close that gap by combining careful research with hard-won experience.

The title comes, obviously, from the effort of living single in a world geared to couples. But it also describes Keller's belief that we can make one effort fill two goals. Keeping your house isn't just about having a presentable place to sleep; it's a way to maintain a relationship with your kids, and a cue to dates about your personal qualities. Self-improvement efforts, such as fitness classes, can double as low-pressure opportunities to meet women.

Some of Keller's advice is specific to divorcés: How to...

Amazon, please restock. I have the as a ebook, but was looking for the book to tote along in my beach bag this vacation but unfortunately it's no longer available.

As to my review of the book, it's sharp and incredibly funny. It's the first season of sex in the city if it was from Samantha's point of view. In short...I'd rather have this in my beach bag than some sparkly fan-fiction any day!

~ The Loving Dominant

The Loving Dominant

Everything the amateur player needs to know about heterosexual, male-dominant love-making. Warrenaka Mentoris a longtime participant in the dominance/submission scene. As he guides readers through this rarely seen world, he offers clear-eyed advice that will refresh and

The Guiding Mentor:
I have read many books on "how to" for D/s. No book combines the physical and mental/emotional aspects of D/s so well. And for D/s, the importance of emotions and feelings cannot be overstressed. The comprehensive treatise on safety deals with psychological safety as well as phsyical safety - something that, while desperately needed, has been overlooked in most other attempts at this very difficult subject. Yes, BDSM is a difficult undertaking as it requires not only deep knowledge but even deeper caring and ethics. Knowing that your Dominant is concerned and knowledgable in, and for safety, will create a bond of trust. A big step for a lasting relationship! The section written BY a submissive is a stroke of genius for the purposes of providing the submissive POV. Imagine! a book that tries to teach the Dominant what a submissive sees and feels. Understanding the submissive mind is a powerful tool for a Dominant that truly cares.

I would combine this...
