Love in 90 Days: The Essential Guide to Finding Your Own True Love

Finding true love is possible in just 90 days. Renowned clinical psychologist, Dr. Diana Kirschner, uses the latest research, clinical and personal experience to show you how. Dr. Diana knows the questions single women everywhere face: "Why am I attracted to the wrong kind

Very Practical and Valid
I was initially skeptical about this book because of the 90 day claim. But after reading it, I realize that it is an actual practical dating program you work alone or with a team and is designed to get you in gear to start dating the right kind of guys. It is based on research and experience and is full of good advice which you can put into practical application. I am a happily married Relationship Expert as well, so I read most dating advice books to see what is on the market and what may be helpful to my clients. I believe this is definitely in the top three books. I think the Six Secrets of Online Dating Success section is great, because I have seen too many women blow their dating success chances by pictures and profiles that don't do them justice. I also enjoyed Five Magic Keys to Networking Success, which are extremely useful in business and dating. Dr. Kirschner also talks about how to tell who is a Dud and who is a Stud, how to avoid your Deadly Dating Patterns, and Key...

How to Make Love to a Man

ASK ANY MAN. If you can get him to admit it, he'll probably tell you that he would like to be made love to almost as much as being a good lover. In the past, it is the man who has been responsible for not only the lovemaking, but the romance: candlelight, flowers, music, an

What Women Don't Know (and Men Don't Tell You): The Unspoken Rules of Finding Lasting Love

What You Don't Know about Yourself Will Hinder You. What You Don't Know about Men Will Hurt You.What You Don't Know about Relationships Will Cost You.Why does the modern-day search for romance so often end in disappointment, especially for women? Is it something we do? Somet

An Encouraging Eye-Opening Book
I got this book after someone loaned me "If Men are Like Buses, How Can I Catch One?" Both books are very affirming and encouraging, I happened to read them at a time when I was losing hope and I can say that a few weeks later I am still inspired by these books. What I love about this particular book is hearing the guy's point of view on things, especially if you're stuck wondering if a guy is interested in you. Like a lot of women, I can get worked up wondering and where a relationship is heading. This book is like another pair of eyes and ears!
After reading both books I have a solid understanding of what dating and marriage is about and it will help me in discerning what to look for in a mate. I also love Michelle's writing style, I could just hear her in some of the chapters saying You Go Girl!!
As a side note, I got How To Be an Irresistable Women and found the same material as in her other books, the material is repetitive. But I totally recommend...

Trophy Man: The Surprising Secrets of Black Women Who Marry Well

You're attractive, fun to be around, and accomplished. Life is great. But it would be perfect if you had a partner by your side: a man with brains, ambition, a successful career, and eyes for you only. Problem is, where do you find a brother like that? And how do you make hi

White Women Have the Trophy Men -- That's the Problem!
That's the whole point of the author writing this book. There are tons of classy, educated black women who would like to marry comparable black men -- but are derided as "golddiggers" and constantly force-fed a "be realistic and lower your expectations" diet -- mostly from black men and magazines like Essence that persist in highlighting "Single Sistas Who Love Themselves" (well duh!) or lesbians who don't care about getting a man period.

Of course, basic relationship advice works for people of all colors (plenty of black women bought "The Rules") but the author knew exactly what she was doing by targeting BAP-type black women who would prefer to marry (and not play house with) a black man who doesn't dribble a ball or rap for a living.

Opening Up: A Guide to Creating and Sustaining Open Relationships

Relationship expert and bestselling author Tristan Taormino offers a bold new strategy for creating loving, lasting relationships. Drawing on in-depth interviews with over a hundred women and men, Opening Up explores the real-life benefits and challenges of all styles of ope

I was a bit scared to read this.
I bought this book after running into several folks over a ten year period that were into palyamory--having more than one lover at a time.

To be honest, I was half way between fear on this and the weariness of judging my two or three friends who were oriented this way--multiple lovers. I felt their honesty and candor and approach to sexual integrity was scoring far better (not to mention more often!) than many of my church friends, some of whom were defending to the death long dead marriages; lifeless, dry, sexless "relationships".

With Taormino's interviews of 100 plus folks in alternative relationships, a few things stood out for me from my perspective as a traditional type married and sometimes churchy guy. All of us could learn a good deal from Tristan's book on the matter of communication and honesty. I've learned from this book what a joy it is, for example, to have permission from a spouse to notice hot ladies on the street or market. And to have...

If the Buddha Dated: A Handbook for Finding Love on a Spiritual Path

In this practical, playful, yet spiritual guide, Charlotte Kasl, author of the highly successful Finding Joy: 101 Ways to Free Your Spirit and Dance with Life, shows you what it would be like to have the ancient wisdom of the Buddha to guide you through the dating process.

The best book I've read on relationships of every kind
I have read more than my share of self help books but this is the most helpful book I have ever read. It started out slow - in the first pages I was rolling my eyes because I felt like it was simple stuff I already knew, but by page ten I was engrossed and thrilled. It is simple, straightforward, fun reading, it makes complete sense and helps clarify the issues that come up in every kind of relationship, from partners to potential partners, to family and friends. I could not put it down. I had an 'aha' every few pages, found it joyful and affirming and incredibly helpful. When I was halfway through it I bought 8 more copies and gave them to eight friends. They all loved it and have all given copies to their friends and family. I quickly saw my relationships to others and to myself start to change, I actively used the theories to improve my dynamics with others and one day read just one sentence and completely let go of some pain I'd been carrying for days over a conflict...

~ He's Just Not That Into You: The No-Excuses Truth to Understanding Guys

He's Just Not That Into You: The No-Excuses Truth to Understanding Guys

For ages women have come together over coffee, cocktails, or late-night phone chats to analyze and obsess over the puzzling behavior of men. Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo are here to say that—despite good intentions—it’s an utter waste of time. Men are not complicated

Overdue and universally applicable
This book really isn't just for women, and it really isn't just about relationships. True, it focuses on empowering women to say "Hey, I'm worth more than this and I'm not going to settle" which is a wonderful thing to realize, but it really goes beyond relationships. We are conditioned to work hard (and, as an unfortunate side effect, suffer) for everything in life - jobs, material possessions, etc - and when love or money or other things we want don't come to us, it's easier emotionally to justify and/or make excuses as to why we're not getting what we feel we deserve when we want it. Whether it's the attention of a man (or woman) or a promotion at work, the power of this book is that it tells you in no uncertain terms that YOU are the only one who will suffer if you continue to cling to something that wasn't meant to be.

The authors have really stumbled on to something good here - what I took away from this book and will continue to remember is that life is too short...
