Had a very painful breakup with a narcissist, whom I had once fondly thought of as "just a little vain". Could not make any kind of sense how this man I thought was everything I ever wanted and would have bet any amount of money felt the same about me, exhibited such a profound shift in behavior after 6 months. I was initially skeptical about this book because of the 90 day claim. But after reading it, I realize that it is an actual practical dating program you work alone or with a team and is designed to get you in gear to start dating the right kind of guys. It is based on research and experience and is full of good advice which you can put into practical application. The best book I've read on relationships of every kind
I have read more than my share of self help books but this is the most helpful book I have ever read. It started out slow - in the first pages I was rolling my eyes because I felt like it was simple stuff I already knew, but by page ten I was engrossed and thrilled. It is simple, straightforward, fun reading, it makes complete sense and helps clarify the issues that come up in every kind of relationship, from partners to potential partners, to family and friends. I could not put it down. I had an 'aha' every few pages, found it joyful and affirming and incredibly helpful. When I was halfway through it I bought 8 more copies and gave them to eight friends. They all loved it and have all given copies to their friends and family. Overdue and universally applicable
This book really isn't just for women, and it really isn't just about relationships. True, it focuses on empowering women to say "Hey, I'm worth more than this and I'm not going to settle" which is a wonderful thing to realize, but it really goes beyond relationships. We are conditioned to work hard (and, as an unfortunate side effect, suffer) for everything in life - jobs, material possessions, etc - and when love or money or other things we want don't come to us, it's easier emotionally to justify and/or make excuses as to why we're not getting what we feel we deserve when we want it. I read Lady in Waiting several years ago while still in my early teens. I have refered back to it many times since then trying to grow my relationship with the Lord while I wait on my future husband. I agree that our ultimate goal is to be satisfied completely with Christ and His cross, but that is something we as humans won't be able to completely attain until we are in Heaven with Christ. Strive for contentedness yes, and find your significance in Him, but it's ok to long for a husband. Don't dwell on it, but to deny and ignore the longings of your heart to me is almost like denying and ingnoring the One who placed them there in the first place.

In short, this is a great read and a great example of how to mold your life after the One who gave you life. Strive for holiness, but rely on the One who is holy to make you holy, and wait on His timing for your future husband, He will send him when you both are ready.

Good Book! Bad Title!
This book is well written and fun to read. It has great insight on how to discover more about yourself and what you are looking for. It discusses more about how to find someone who is compatible with you and when you do find that person, the best way not to screw up the encounter. It is NOT a book on how to date as many people as you can and have sex with them. It is geared towards finding that one special person most of us are looking for and building a long lasting relationship with them.

I would never have bought the book on the title alone because the title means something completely different to me. So I think it is a bad title.

I would recommend this book to someone looking for additional insight in the dating field and finding true love.

Lucky in Love... was, for me, a really good read. The author really goes into detail about how to incorporate the law of attraction into your dating life, as well as into other aspects of your life. I don't think I've seen it described quite so well. Additionally, she goes into reasons why we aren't so "lucky in love" and what we can do about it. I liked the chapters on getting real and not being desperate. But the real gem here is how to actually attract guys into your life. The technique works wonders! For that, this one stays on my nightstand indefinitely.

I admit, it was the title that caught my attention. Since I have many men in my life - who I am not romantically involved with - I thought, "Why not read it and find out how all these men can help me?" Not quite how it works though.
